Meta message costs

Meta's rates, passed on at cost

Your plan pays for DMly itself. Each WhatsApp template is billed by Meta at the South Africa rate, per delivered message, and we add nothing.

Service replies First 1,000 free Non-template replies inside the 24-hour customer service window. The first 1,000 a month on each business number are free, then US$0.0095 each, about R0.16.
Utility and authentication About R0.16 US$0.0095 per delivered message at Meta's South Africa rate.
Marketing templates About R0.63 US$0.0379 per delivered promotion or broadcast, sent only to customers who opted in.
International authentication About R0.33 US$0.02 per delivered message when Meta's international authentication rate applies.
Rand figures are approximate, at R16.61 per US dollar (indicative market rate, 3 November 2026). DMly plans are billed in US dollars. Meta USD list rates are effective 1 October 2026, and volume tiers can lower utility and authentication costs. International authentication is about R0.33. Service replies are free for the first 1,000 each month per number, then about R0.16.

Billing questions

Is there really a free trial? Seven days on any plan, every feature unlocked, no card needed. You only pay when you decide to go live.
Why are the plans priced in US dollars? Every DMly plan is billed in US dollars, at the same price worldwide. The rand figures are a guide at R16.61 to the dollar (indicative market rate, 3 November 2026). Your bank converts at its own rate on the day.
How do my customers pay me? Connect Paystack for card and EFT, or Flutterwave for card, and send payment links and invoices in the chat. The receipt goes back to the customer automatically. DMly adds no fee.
What do WhatsApp messages cost in South Africa? Meta bills per delivered message at its South Africa rate: US$0.0379 for marketing and US$0.0095 for utility or authentication. The first 1,000 service replies a month on each number are free. DMly adds nothing.
Is marketing on WhatsApp allowed under POPIA? Yes, to people who gave you their consent. DMly keeps opt-outs on every channel and stops marketing to anyone who replies STOP.
Can I change plans later? Any time, from settings. Upgrades start straight away, downgrades on your next billing date. Your flows, contacts and history carry over.
Do you help with Meta verification? Yes, at no cost. Our team walks you through connecting your number, your display name and business verification on a video call.
