Winning the sale

Messages that close the customer who nearly bought

Most lost sales in a Nigerian shop are not refusals, they are people who got distracted. These four go out first, so each one needs Meta approval before you can send it. The band below explains which category each falls into.

Market day offer, sent on the morning of the sale Good morning {name}. {shop} is running {offer} today only. {item} is ₦{amount} instead of ₦{was}, and the first ten orders get free delivery within {area}. Shop here before it finishes: {link}. Reply STOP if you would rather not get offers.
How to use the set

What Meta must approve, and what you can simply type

WhatsApp treats a message you send first differently from a reply inside a conversation. That one difference decides what you submit for approval and what each message costs you.

Approval Anything you send first is a template The cart nudge, the restock alert and the Black Friday message all open the conversation, so Meta has to approve the wording before any of them can go out. Submit each one once and reuse it all year.
Category Order updates and offers are billed apart Delivery, dispatch and payment messages are utility messages, from ₦11 each. Anything that sells something is a marketing message, about ₦30 each. Meta bills both at the Nigeria rate and DMly adds nothing on top.
Replies Inside 24 hours, write like a human Once a customer answers, everything you send for the next 24 hours is a free service reply, with no template and no approval. Photos, a fresh price, a voice note, anything. That window is where the selling actually happens.
Broadcast One message, your whole opted-in list Segment by what somebody bought, where they live or how long since their last order, send the approved template, then watch the replies land in your team inbox instead of a notification you lose. Shops The rest of the shop flows Catalogue messages with naira prices, comment to DM on Instagram, deposits, cart recovery and delivery updates, set up for Nigerian shops online and offline.
Delivery

Messages that keep the customer calm until it arrives

Between payment and delivery is where a shop loses trust and gets a chargeback. Send these four and the questions stop, along with the calls.

Order confirmed, sent within an hour of payment Thank you {name}, order {order} is confirmed. {item}, ₦{amount}, going to {address}. It leaves the shop on {date} and you will get the rider's name and number before he sets out. If the address has changed, reply here before {time} and we will update it.
Out for delivery, sent when the rider leaves Good day {name}. Order {order} is on the way. Your rider is {rider} on {phone}, and he should reach {address} between {window}. Please keep your phone close, and have ₦{amount} ready if you chose payment on delivery.
Rider could not reach you, sent after a failed attempt Hi {name}, our rider {rider} could not reach you at {address} today. Nothing is lost, your parcel is back in the shop. Send us a day that works and a landmark near you, and he will come again at no extra cost.
Delivered, sent with the proof Delivered ✓ Order {order} was received at {address} at {time} by {receiver}. Thank you for shopping with {shop}. If anything is wrong with the item, message us here within 48 hours and we will sort it out.
In practice

A cart nudge that becomes an order in six messages

The template opens it, the customer replies, and from there your team is selling in an ordinary conversation.

CN Chinelo WhatsApp
Is the blue one still available? Yes, blue in size 12 is here 💙 Same price, ₦24,500. Should I hold it for you? Hold it please. Do you deliver to Yaba? Held for two hours. Yaba is ₦2,000 and same day if you pay before 2 pm. Total ₦26,500: pay.dmly.io/tc/8841b I have sent the transfer Received ✓ Order 8841 is packed. Rider Emeka, 0806•••9910, will reach you between 3 pm and 5 pm. Thank you
The nudge is a template The cart message goes out first, so it is an approved marketing template with the item, the price and the checkout link pulled from your store.
Her reply opens the free window The moment Chinelo answers, the next 24 hours cost nothing and your team can send photos, a different colour or a new total without any approval.
One thread from nudge to rider Payment link, receipt and rider details stay in the same chat, so nobody is scrolling a group at night looking for an order number.
Bringing them back

Messages that make the second sale

A customer who has already paid you once is the cheapest customer you will ever get. These four are marketing templates, so only send them to people who opted in.

Restock alert, sent the day the item lands Good news {name}. {item} is back in stock at {shop}, ₦{amount}, in {sizes}. You asked after it last month so we are telling you first, before it goes on the page. Order here: {link}. It usually finishes within a few days.
Review request, sent two days after delivery Hi {name}, we hope {item} is treating you well. If you are happy with it, would you drop us a word here: {link}? It takes a minute and it helps the next buyer trust us. If anything is not right, reply here first and we will fix it.
Black Friday offer, sent the night before it opens {shop} Black Friday opens at midnight. {offer} across {category}, and {item} drops from ₦{was} to ₦{amount}. What is in the shop is what there is, so early is better: {link}. Reply STOP to stop getting offers.
Detty December reminder, sent in the first week of December December is here {name} 🎉 {shop} has {item} ready for the owambe season, from ₦{amount}, and we deliver across {city}. Order before {date} so it reaches you ahead of the parties, because the traffic and the riders both get worse every week: {link}.
Questions

Using these templates in your shop

Can I change the wording to sound like my shop? Yes, and you should. Keep the braces, keep one clear offer per message, and write the way you talk to customers in the shop. Any edit to an approved template means sending it back for approval, so make all your changes first.
What if Meta rejects one of my templates? Read the reason given, cut anything that shouts or promises too much, shorten the message and submit again. Most rejections are about wording rather than the idea, and a rewritten version usually passes on the next attempt.
Do customers have to opt in? For the marketing ones, yes. Anyone who has messaged your shop or ticked the box at checkout counts. Record when and where each opt-in happened, and take anyone who replies STOP off the list straight away, which also protects your quality rating.
Can these send by themselves? Yes. In DMly you connect your store, set the trigger once, a cart left behind, a payment received, a rider dispatched or a restock, and the approved template goes out at the right minute without anybody typing.
What do they cost to send? Meta bills the conversation at the Nigeria rate and DMly adds nothing. Delivery and payment updates are utility messages from ₦11 each, promos are marketing templates at about ₦30 each, and every reply inside the 24 hour window is free.
